Interval State is an independent artistic practice centered on environmental composition, sonic observation, and human creativity.

This policy outlines the project’s position regarding artificial intelligence and the use of its published works.


Human Authorship

All musical compositions, Field Notes, written works, and creative content published under Interval State are the result of direct human authorship and creative decision-making unless explicitly stated otherwise.

The artistic process emphasizes listening, observation, revision, and intentional composition.


AI Training and Dataset Use

No content published by Interval State may be copied, scraped, reproduced, or incorporated into datasets for the purpose of training, testing, evaluating, or improving artificial intelligence systems or machine learning models without prior written permission.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Musical compositions
  • Audio recordings
  • MIDI data
  • Field Notes
  • Essays and written content
  • Images and artwork
  • Metadata and descriptive text

Generative Systems

Permission is not granted for Interval State works to be used in the development of generative music systems, large language models, text-to-audio systems, image generation systems, or any other automated content generation technologies.

Any such use requires prior written authorization.


Licensing

Licensing of Interval State works for film, exhibition, installation, or other creative projects does not include permission for artificial intelligence training, dataset creation, or model development unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.


Intellectual Property

All rights remain reserved by their respective copyright holder.

The absence of technical restrictions does not imply permission for automated collection, machine learning ingestion, or artificial intelligence training.
